About

This blog is offered as a forum to discuss thoughts and memories of my son, Tom Marton, who passed away from lymphoma in 2011 at age 42. Besides reminiscences of Tommy, the blog includes accounts of family ancestors — some who knew Tom and others who died before Tom arrived on the scene. There were many people in Tom’s life who knew and loved him, who miss him, and who remember his life with affection and gratitude.

Tom lived a short but blessed life; he was well-loved by friends and family alike. This blog is offered for all who knew him whether as a son or father, or as grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin, husband, uncle, colleague, or simply as a dear friend. He is deeply missed.

    • You’re very welcome. I’ve done a lot of reminiscing about Tom on this blog, but also I’ve ended up describing some of the information I’ve discovered about our ancestry. You, Tommy, and I share some interesting ancestors!
