father and son

My grandson, G, is working on the design for a 2D video game, and he has been describing his progress in his blog. Although I’m sure the actual writing of code for the game, and other aspects of the project, would likely be beyond my comprehension at this point, I can understand the excitement of working on a project like that. And what I especially notice is the energy, creativity, enthusiasm, and fine intelligence that are reflected in G’s comments and descriptions of the project. Thirty years ago, when he was about the age G is now, G’s dad was working on his own projects and although the details were different, the enthusiasm was the same. The two of them, Tom and G, remind me of each other in many ways.
